Saun G. Hough is the CA Partnerships Manager for Californians for Safety & Justice, where he coordinates public education campaigns and state and local coalitions to advance CSJ’s policy and programs work and to promote shared safety initiatives that replace wasteful prison spending with more effective safety solutions.

His successful record of prior advocacy includes work to advance fair hiring practices for formerly incarcerated job seekers and efforts to achieve equitable judicial relief for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated community members. Saun is also an accomplished workforce development professional who specializes in working with underserved communities, including incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth and adults.

Saun also serves as an Executive Board member for the Reentry Providers Association of California (REPAC), the Nation’s first 501(c)(4) non-profit organization representing members who are non-profits, grassroots, and service organizations seeking to create and restore healthy communities by assisting citizens’ re-entry & reintegration into the community following incarceration.

Immediately prior to joining Californians for Safety and Justice, he served as the Vocational Services Administrator at SHIELDS for Families Inc.

Saun is active on several re-entry advisory committees, he is Associate Pastor at Crossroads United Methodist Church, in Compton, CA, and he is a husband, a father of three, and a four-time grandfather.
