Ian Mogavero

Ian Mogavero is the Chief Operating Officer at the TechEquity Collaborative. Ian brings over 15 years of experience working in the private, public, and non-profit sectors solving urgent social and environmental problems. Before joining TechEquity, Ian was a Director at Eastern Research Group (ERG). He led engagements helping both U.S. and international clients achieve environmental, social, and financial benefits through strategic planning and alternative conservation funding.

Before ERG, Ian served as an independent consultant providing strategy, finance, and implementation support for clients in the nonprofit sector. Ian spent several years as Deputy Executive Director of SeaPlan, where he led this ocean planning nonprofit’s finance and operational functions.  Under his leadership, SeaPlan was instrumental in data acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and policy development leading to the construction of the first US offshore wind farm, the Northeast Regional Ocean Plan, and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Ocean Action Plan. Ian holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.
